Our combination of Red, Blue and Tiger compost worms are incredible garbage eaters! They eat and expel their own weight every day, so even a small bin of compost worms will yield large quantities of rich sweet-smelling compost/worm castings. We recommend at least 1000 worms to get you started. We will also provide you with complete care instructions along with free ongoing advisory service.
Creating a Worm Farm is a great way to recycle organic kitchen waste into a highly nutritional soil conditioner – plus its fun and easy for the whole family to get involved. Worms take your left over food scraps and turn them into a dark, soil-like material with a pleasant earthy smell – known as worm castings. They also produce a liquid called worm tea. Worm castings and worm tea, are wonderful additives to any garden.

A much sort after and hugely popular fishing worm across Euripe, the US and now Australia, the European Nightcrawler is a much larger worm than your regular compost worm and will tolerate temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees. The Euro’s survive much longer than other worm species on the hook and will catch a large variety of fresh and salt water fish. They will also easily live for several months from purchase if cared for correctly.
Making compost is the perfect way to recycle organic garden and kitchen waste into a highly nutritious soil conditioner – and it’s so easy to do! Compost is made when micro-organisms feed on organic matter – any plant, animal tissue or residues – and break it down into smaller and smaller pieces. When the waste is fully decomposed it forms humus – or compost – a dark, soil-like material with a pleasant earthy smell.
